Sono stato due giorni al Roseto a maggio, in occasione del compleanno di mia moglie. Torneremo sicuramente, perchè la struttura accogliente e pulitissima. Estremamente rilassante la prima colazione tra gli alberi di limone. Complimenti.
Eight of us stayed for three nights at the Il Roseto in April, 2009. We arrived late afternoon and started our vacation by having wine and a snack out in the courtyard amongst the lemon trees. Che bello! Breakfast each morning was great-fresh eggs, rolls, orange juice-fresh squeezed. Our host Antonio and his family were very helpful and gracious. They helped us secure reservations at local restaurants and a taxi to meet the early train when we left. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Sorrento is a great spot to explore from-easy train ride to Herculaneum and Pompeii. We hired a driver and toured the Amalfi coast in a van. Wonderful stay.
Wonderful week at Il Roseto and we would highly recommend this B & B to anyone. http://www.medisearch.iamspace.com/index.html
Il Roseto was wonderful! The rooms were clean and cozy. The view was wonderful! The best part was Tony and his family, they were all very helpful and he even took us to the airport at 4 a.m. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.
We spent a wonderful week at Il Roseto and we would highly recommend this B & B to anyone. The accommodation was excellent, the breakfasts in the garden a lovely memory, the friendliness of everyone was great and all the family went out of their way to help us enjoy our time there. Many thanks and we hope to return there again.
I have just returned from a stay at Il Rosetto and would recommend it to everyone. Quite location with access to all local transport, friendly owners and spotless rooms.
We spent 6 days at Il Roseto in late November and had a great time. We read a lot of the reviews on the B&B before making our reservation, so we felt we knew what to expect. Well, our expectations were exceeded! Here are some of our thoughts. COMMUNICATION: Our emails to Il Roseto before the trip were always promptly answered. The reservation process was smooth, and our email for a direction to the B&B and a confirmation email right before our trip were all answered within a day. Both Tony and MIchael speak excellent English, and we enjoyed conversing with them. LOCATION: We knew from reading the reviews that we had to walk a bit along a busy road to reach the B&B from the center of Sorrento. The sidewalk along Corso Italia gets very narrow (about 18 inches at its narrowest) and disappears at one point near the B&B. The wife was a little stressed about the cars and the fumes initially, but we got used to it quickly. We are a couple in our mid 30's, and it took us about 15 minutes to walk from P. Tasso to Il Roseto at a leisurely pace. There is a bus stop very close to the B&B which we took advantage of on one night we didn't want to walk back. ROOM: We had the upstairs room, "Punta del Capo," facing the hills. Although it wasn't an oceanview room, we enjoyed the view of the mountains in the distance in the morning. The room was clean and a good size. The bathroom was not large, but very clean. The only negative was the cold tiled floor in the room. We wished we had brought slippers. Overall, very comfortable and clean. BREAKFAST: As others have commented, the fresh pastries and the bread were great. Fresh orange juice (very tart!) and cappucino were a treat every morning. It was a good time to chat with other travelers and Michael. We also got to see family interaction (grandma or Michael's wife with Michael's cute daughter Maria) which made us feel kinda warm and fuzzy. HOSTS: We mainly interacted with Tony and Michael who were warm and friendly. Toward the end of our stay we were talking to them about restaurants we had gone to in Sorrento, and they offered to take us to the restaurant where they had their wedding receptions. It's in Massa Lubrense just outside of Sorrento, and the food and the service were amazing. Tony took us, and the owner of the restaurant drove us back after dinner. It was our last night in Sorrento which made it more special. Overall, we really enjoyed staying at Il Roseto and highly recommend it to anyone going to the Amalfi Coast.
My husband and I enjoyed a delightful four nights at il Rosetto. The Bed and breakfast feels more like you are with family. Both my husdand and I were really impressed with their hospitality. The owners go out of their way to be helpful with information of sights in the area. They really aim to please. The rooms are immaculate and decorated in fine taste. The tile in our bathroom was beautiful. In addition, the rooms are quiet so there is no problem in getting a good nights sleep. The location is also very convenient for day trips.. You can walk to two different train stops. One day we took a day trip to Naples and Pompeii and getting back to il Rosetto was not complicated. The breakfast in the morning is excellent. They serve fresh orange juice outside with an array of delicious breads ,pastries, and yogurt. An added treat was the capuccino. You can even get seconds. We would definitely return to il Rosetto.
WOW!!! This place is a jewel! Tonino, Michele and their wives welcome you with open arms into their magnificent establishment, and our stay there (30 members of my wife's family) rated this leg of our tour the best. Upon arrival we were treated to the best granita ever (that's saying something given I am from Sicily) made each day on the premises from Tonino's lemons. The decor is exquisite and the view from the balcony of the triple room, over the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius, is breathtaking. Each morning there is a fabulous breakfast, with a variety of fresh pastries, cappuccino, tea, espresso etc on tap. The breads were mouthwatering, and we were even able to request a very early breakfast when we had a planned trip to Capri. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts, and we felt like family. Tonino even managed to accommodate 8 of our troupe at a 4 star Hotel up the street at a reduced price, such was the service. This truly is a magnificent place to stay and the prices are very reasonable. We can't wait to return
We wish that we could live there forever....we will be back soon. Hello to all and we miss you and your warm hospitality. Annette,Debra & Betty(our mother)
Il Roseto is one of the nicest places in Italy,as is Sorrento. You will not be disappointed. The proprietor is helpful and pleasant. He will carry your bags upstairs ( the only time that happened in our entire two weeks in Italy). The rooms are huge and well-appointed. We had an amazing view of the bay from our balcony. The location is a short walk into Sorrento and the historic area, although the walk seemed longer on the way back. Breakfast was fanstastic. You will love this place. I would have gladly stayed longer.
